Professor Edgerton has been one of the leading researchers of Spinal Cord Stimulation for the past 50 years. Professor Edgerton is a Distinguished Professor of Integrative Biology & Physiology, NeuroBiology and Neurosurgery at UCLA and has invented and tested the core technology of SpineX. Professor Edgerton is a world-renowned expert in the field and has co-authored over 500 scientific publications and has over 25 patents to his credit. He has been recognized around the world as one of the first scientist to demonstrate significant functional improvements in patients with severe paralysis and has received numerous awards in recognition of his work including the popular mechanics award, the Annual
National Paralysis Foundation Christopher Reeve Award, the University California Irvine/Christopher Reeve National Paralysis Foundation Spinal Cord Research Award,
and the National Spinal Cord Injury Association L.W. Freeman Award.
